Employment Opportunity: Full-Time Library Director
The Sullivan County Commissioners are seeking a community-focused leader to serve as library director of the Sullivan County Library.
The library director oversees daily operations, supervises staff, coordinates volunteers, manages the budget and fosters strong relationships with patrons, staff, and community partners. The ideal candidate will be committed to furthering the library’s mission to offer access to books, media, and technology while enriching the community through programs and services for all ages.
The successful candidate shall have a minimum of 48 college credits including 9 credits in library science, have experience with customer service and financial management, and possess strong leadership abilities. They must also have the ability to pass criminal background, FBI, and child abuse history clearances. Some weekend and evening hours are required. Successful applicants may be required to lift up to 25 pounds and climb stairs. This is a full-time position and includes 14 paid holidays, a defined benefit retirement plan, available medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off.
