Employment Opportunity: 911 Coordinator / Deputy Director

The Sullivan County Commissioners are seeking applicants for the position of 911 Coordinator / Deputy Director at the Department of Emergency Services.

The successful candidate must possess a current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Healthcare Provider Type Basic Life Support (CPR) certification and must achieve a minimum of Emergency Medical Responder Certification and/or Emergency Medical Technician as well as National Academy Emergency Medical Dispatcher and Emergency Fire Dispatcher Certification and Basic Telecommunicator Certification, maintaining all certifications throughout employment.

This position requires a working knowledge of the laws and procedures related to Emergency Response for Fire and EMS and the ability to respond to emergency situations 24/7, working long hours if required. Candidates must have knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and Excel Programs, the ability to pass a criminal background check, and a valid PA driver's license with a good driving record. Experience with grant management is a plus. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
